It was the second week of November 2006… and the snow began to fall in Colorado. I was in Broomfield for a week of training and class finished on Friday morning, giving me plenty of daylight to drive up to Estes Park and into Rocky Mountain National Park. I parked at the Bear Lake trailhead and began a short winter hike. Not too far down the snow covered trail I spotted this squirrel happily munching on some nuts. He seemed to own the trail and didn’t mind me getting close enough for this photograph.
Every visit to the Rocky Mountains has been an incredible experience for me, and one that I always wish to repeat.
Psalm 90:2 ESV – Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
